LUMPKIN COUNTY: DOCUMENT DESTRUCTION EVENT: Document Destruction will be held on October 16, from 9am until 12pm in front of the Lumpkin County Courthouse. This event is for personal documents only! For businesses please call Document Destruction Service at 706 677-2779. ELECTRONIC RECYCLING EVENT: Electronics may be recycled at the Recycling Center located on Red Oaks Flat Rd during operating hours the week of September 27 through October 1, 2010. WE CANNOT TAKE ANY TV'S AT THIS SITE. For non working TV's, we recommend they be recycled at the event on October 2, 2010 at Young Harris College. For working TV's, we recommend they be donated to the Dept. of Family and Children's Services, the Senior Center, Generous Hearts or any other group that services people in need. We can recycle DVD and VCR machines, computers, monitors, scanners, copy machines, CD and MP3 players, microwaves, stereos and any other electronic equipment. UNION COUNTY: DOCUMENT DESTRUCTION AND ELECTRONIC RECYCLING WILL BE HELD ON THE SAME DAY AT THE SAME LOCATION FOR UNION COUNTY, October 2, 2010; Document Destruction is for personal documents only. There will be a charge of $5.00 for document destruction and electronic recycling with all proceeds going to the Mountain Animal Shelter. If you are a business and need documents destroyed, please call Document Destruction service at 706 677-2779. Document Destruction and Electronic Recycling will be held at Young Harris College on Hwy 76 and Timberline Road. WE CAN TAKE TV'S AT THIS EVENT FOR A CHARGE OF $10.00 PER TV. We can recycle the following items at no charge: DVD and VCR machines, computers, monitors, scanners, copy machines, CD and MP3 players, microwaves, stereos and any other electronic equipment. BANKS COUNTY: THE DOCUMENT DESTRUCTION EVENT WILL BE HELD OCTOBER 31. Document Destruction Service will have a mobile shredder parked in front of the Historic Courthouse in downtown Homer from 9am until 12pm. This is for personal documents only. If you are a business in need of document destruction please call DDS at 706-677-2779 to arrange for service. ELECTRONIC RECYCLING. Electronics may be recycled at the Recycling Center located at R&B Waste Management at 478 Bennett Road during operating hours the week of September 28 through October 2, 2010. WE CANNOT TAKE ANY TV's AT THIS SITE. For non working TV's, we recommend they be recycled at the event on October 17, 2009 at Young Harris College. For working TVs we recommend they be donated to the Dept. of Family and Children's Services, the Senior Center, Generous Hearts or any other group that services people in need.
